The very first Savignon Blanc that I have actually loved. Very easy to drink. This Sauvignon Blanc has hints of sweet and exotic passion fruit, making it almost as pleasing to the nose as it is to the palate, and ends with as refreshing a citrus taste as I've ever encountered in a wine. Aroma of chocolate/mocha, leather, and plum. Silky, round, chocolate like taste, with a touch of dryness. Only a tiny touch of sweetness and acidity make room for the dryness and chocolate flavor. Its Friday, and after a long week I feel the need for a big extracted cab and Caymus always hits that "sweet" spot for me.

Double decant(lots of chunky sediment). A brilliant black garnet color. On the nose: Muted notes of blueberry, licorice, milk chocolate, and oak. Taste: chocolate blackberry, toasty vanilla, a little spicy tobacco, with medium acidity leading to a medium plus finish.....a rich, lush, easy to like wine. — 7 years ago

Nose of pleasant and copious sweet raisin note, followed by hot spice, a hint of leather, tobacco leaf, meaty, and a bit anise note. Taste of round acidity with ample sweetness, ripe fruit, jammy and smooth, black pepper, and medium tannins. Aftertaste of sweet raisin with spice, peat and barrel note, zest and medium finish. A blend of mostly Semillon with some Sauvignon Blanc. Deep lemon color with concentrated aromas of ripe fruit and sweet honey. On the palate you can taste the layers from sweet ripe fruit to honey to nutty notes adding in a touch of citrus. Long finish with an elegant ending. A beauty from Olivier Casteja. Decant for sediment( lots of chunky/fine sedinent). A vivid dark purple with some browing and little bricking. On the nose: sweet/delicate "old" cabernet notes jump from the glass with musty leather, some dark fruit, cedar, bale of hay. Taste: prunes, minerals, smoke, with a cherry leather medium plus long finish. On the downside of its life, but still drinking great for an old 12.5% alcohol cab.....Yum! — 7 years ago

Color of bright yellow and gold. Nose of roasted almonds, oaks, some baking soda, spice, with fruit note is quite weak. Taste is sweet! With some peachy flavor, it is pleasant. Some Sprite note, zesty grapefruit, and nutty oaks exist to make the taste quite round. Aftertaste is a bit missing with some hotness from alcohol and residual sweetness. Smell: tropical, lime, sweet, vanilla,
Taste: medium acidity, oak, light tannin, orange, tropical flavor (pineapple, coconut, lime), buttery, starts of very bright followed by a nice bit of sweetness, that descends into a long finish, there is a smoothness though that comes through the the brightness and acidity almost like a melon of some sort.

At 12% alc....holy mackerel what fruit!!! A plethora of plum skin and sweet cassis erupt in your brain, wrapped in caramel with flecks of dark chocolate, doused in aged balsamic. Talk about hedonistic, it's no wonder parker loves this vintage, large-scaled sweet cassis swimming pool of a palate, ultra rich and long...quite opiate-like in its generous overloading of easy pleasure. This will be saturated in fruit for a long time, its around middle age now. A sheer pleasure, however I'd have preferred some more complexity, but that's personal taste.
