100% Reisling from the Columbia Valley, and as mass market wines go this is one quite good albeit simple. Starts with enticing floral aromatics of Jasmine & Honeysuckle. While peach, pineapple with a bit of lemon zest come through on the medium-dry palate. Overall paired well with spicy homemade mac & cheese on a beautiful Monday evening. ($7) [7/22/19]

Starts well but drops off quickly. Light acid fades quickly in the finish leaving tart citrus.

Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in Washington with some of the most mature vineyards in the Columbia Valley. Was able to get another taste. Aromas of sweet stone fruits and floral notes, typical of Riesling. Flavors of sweet crisp apple and peach adding honey notes over vivid acidity that needs food. Medium finish ending with mineral notes. Under $10, great value. Tasting Sample.
