Annual Holiday Dinner. So much life to this wine. — 7 years ago
Everything about this BSR is perfect right now. Certainly, one of my favorites and the start of Christmas dinner makes it all the better!!! The fruit is sensational strawberries, black raspberries, raspberries, watermelon, touch of tangerine, the acidity so fresh and perfect, powdery gentle chalkiness, soft minerals and a finish I simply love. — 8 years ago
Very young but lovely fresh apricots, peaches and pineapple. Honeysuckle and white flowers. What really makes this wine amazing though is the body. It's big and round the whole way through where so many Sauternes fall either in the middle or finish. Lovely. — 9 years ago
Crushed this bad boy w/ a buddy from Back home and his comment was "oh so this is what Real wine tastes like!" Lol. Love it. — 10 years ago
Popped and poured out of a 1.5L and this was lights out good. I love the 2005 vintage in Barbaresco and this was a beautiful example and seemed to have so much left in the tank! The fruit was still bright and full of life. Tannins are still firm. Great acid for food and paired beautifully with frutta di mare fra diavolo. Secondary characteristics are just barely creeping into the fore. Wish I had another mag to drink in 2029. — 6 years ago
Enjoyed this stunning 1995 with a perfect steak meal. So glad I still have a few more on the shelf! — 7 years ago
The rating scale goes up to 10 for wines like this. Insanely enchanting nose. Reminded me of smelling a perfectly cooked duck drizzled with pomegranate reduction. More aromatic inspection leads to rose water, hibiscus, subtle dried oak leaves and so many more tiny lovely things. Bright, vibrant but not sharp, this is the definition of great wine. Mind blown! — 9 years ago
This is the 1985 Napa Cab and was tasted out of 5 liter. This wine was excellent! Herbal notes with a touch of saddle. I was so surprised by how much red fruit was on the pallet with a wine this old! Amazing! — 10 years ago
A completely different wine than the Dominus. This was full throttle and slams you back in to your seat with its G forces. So ripe, almost over the top; but it decelerates just in time and the finish is so succulent it lingers in your mouth forever. Filled to the tip of the cork with graphite and teeth staining purple fruit. This is the malevolent bastard child of a young Colgin IX Syrah and 2000 Chateau Pavie. Gobsmacker. — 7 years ago
Wow... So many flavors in this wine. It's quite a treat to your mouth. Smooth with a great mid taste and a long finish — 9 years ago
Got this at the winery, so delicious. Only scored a half bottle — 10 years ago

Wow. Nose is wide open: raspberries, blood orange peel, rose, minerals and spice. Palate has so much zingy red fruit. Day two and this has gained intensity and white pepper spice. Forget that this is a rose- it’s really so much more than that. Crystalline and elegant! — 5 years ago
