This Spanish Monastrell is always enjoyable.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Showing black cherries, sweet plums, tobacco, oak, chocolates, earth, herbs and peppercorn.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins, and tangy raspberries.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Easy drinking and good for parties.
Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.
Organic and vegan.
15% alcohol by volume.

First wine I’ve had from this producer and another notch in Matt Courtney’s belt. A really beautiful Sonoma Coast Pinot through and through with fantastic energy, texture, structure, and balance. Earthy berries. Stone fruits. Layers upon layers of aromas and flavors. Reads a bit hot at 14.1%. Stunning wine, but is it worth 2.5 times the price of Faiveley Mercurey? 🤷🏼♂️ — 4 days ago

Brought to dinner by our friends, a special treat. An excellent Napa Pinot noir. Very distinctive expression of fruit, and in balance with its acidity. Controlled. — 2 months ago
Decent. But not the best silver oak I’ve had. — 4 days ago
