Big central coast GSM & V. Blackberry alcohol/fruit bomb. Not a lot of tannins but delicious after a long drive to Santa Barbara wine country. — 8 years ago
Exceptional. Power with subtly. Open knit and plush nose. Sexy on the palette. Reminds me of @Bill Bender.
This is a poster-child for balance and restraint. First growth in every way. — 9 years ago
A big fruit, oak bomb. Once it opened up it was quite nice. Getting better with age. — 9 years ago
A nice light bodied, easy drinking red blend, low acidity, peppery at first with a long finish of blackberry jam. — 10 years ago
1988- a little tight but solid and will get better. Not as sexy as the Rhone wines alongside. — 10 years ago
Fourth time tasting Lapierre in 2017. I've got a bit of a cold so I'm not enjoying this one as the previous ones. The nose is still a cherry bomb and bears a violet stamp. The palate is still very well balanced with a strong acid backbone, lots of ripe cherry all over the place, some grip, some width. The palate is a cherry song that plays for a very long while. 24 hours later it's still singing. Great! — 7 years ago
7/3/17 - had as part of a flight at eight 11. Very interesting taste but grew on me. — 9 years ago
Sexy Juice.....just like the bottle. — 9 years ago
This has beautiful aromas of plums , dark cherries and pepper plus maybe a little cedar. All of that exploded in your mouth with touches of tobacco, leather, ripe dark fruits and a bit of licorice that mix with wonderful tannins and dance a ballet in your mouth. Smooth and sexy finish. I can't wait to revisit the 2010 in five to seven years to see how it develops. — 10 years ago
Was apprehensive at first as last time I had this (a year ago with Big Wave Dave) it was the cliche Oz Shiraz fruit bomb with high alcohol bordering on over extraction. On the second outing a lot more complex. Still classic cassis fruit and choc/tobacco overtones but not over the top and with some nice acidity still. Less spice than typical. Nice underlying tannin backbone. Lovely mouthfeel and medium body and finish. A little time has done its work nicely. — 10 years ago

1982 vintage. Fleshy with integrated fruit. Sexy and still ready to play. — 8 years ago
OMG. Paso Robles. Austin Hope. This is just a crazy cab. Holy smokes. If you can get this, it’s a must have. Total sexy wine. Awesome for the 10 oz filets and mushrooms we had off the grill - MJ is amazing on the grill. # — 8 years ago

Needs a little air to cut the sweetness though
Still together and now sexy amazing silky body lovely wine. Lucky to try it. #cabandbeef #lovemyjob #charmedlife — 9 years ago
At this price point, this is about as good a California Cabernet that you can get. These ladies have produced a gorgeous rich and unique blend of chocolate and blackberry that has no rough edges. Not your typical fruit bomb at all. A feminine and seductive experience indeed. Will soon try the 2013. — 10 years ago
Wow. More flavor, much better than their regular cab. Silky, velvet, smooth. Chocolate. Rich fruit. Big, full flavor, lots of flavor. Not old world style for sure, not subtle. It's a big bomb. We would pay up to $75 for this so a bit overpriced to us.
