1988- a little tight but solid and will get better. Not as sexy as the Rhone wines alongside.

Been a while since I tasted this guy. Great wine in a so-so left bank vintage.

A wine that really reminds you why Bordeaux is Bordeaux. So classic on the nose - leather and stinky earth, restrained fruit. From the color would have guessed 10-15 years younger than it is. So mouth filling - hits every part of the palate. Acid slightly less than I was hoping but still delicious and a perfect pairing with a slow cooked lamb stew.
