The 2015 Ramey ‘Hyde VIneyard’ Chardonnay is a simply gorgeous new wine that is one of the best of its kind by superstar winemaker, David Ramey. Set on clay loam soils, the strongly marine-influenced Hyde Vineyard has gained an international reputation for producing outstanding Chardonnay grapes. This Carneros bottling shows intense nutmeg, vanilla creme brulee, macadamia nut and heavy whipping cream flavors that impress. Lithe and rich, this gorgeous bottling will cellar well for the next ten to fifteen years. Drink 2019-2033- 94 — 7 years ago

Most unique SB of the tasting lineup. #marlborough #sauvignonblanc #singlevineyard — 11 years ago

Bright aromas tangerine and citrus with a touch of pear. Juicy on the palate with tons of slatey minerality. Bright acidity balanced by lemon and lime fruit. Medium clean finish. — 11 years ago

North Coast Syrah. And wow, seriously the best wine I've had in so very long. So surpassed expectations with the quiet tannins and wonderful bouquet. I wish they would crop dust major cities with this perfume. Pepper, violets and gameness. Sounds like small production so I'm worried this is one of the last bottles around. — 12 years ago
Tried a new batch. Roederer Estate sparkling wines are crisp & fresh reflecting the cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley, home to estate's 600 acres of vineyards. Blend of 60% Pinot Noir & 40% Chardonnay. Light salmon color, good flow of bubbles, firm mousse, aromas of berry fruits and biscuit notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry, ripe apple and peach with a dash of pepper spice. Long finish, lively acidity ending a tad creamy with toasty yeasty tones. Very Nice! — 5 years ago
Color is almost like grapefruit. Nose of ripe pineapple, tart cherry, mineral, flowering note like light honey, and tinkling carbonate. Taste is clean and follows the nose, with refreshing grapefruit zest, long subtle acidity, some tart cherry, and honey. Aftertaste is medium, with grapefruit and naval green range finish, very clean and savory. — 7 years ago
This is very drinkable wine. Solid at room temperature or great slightly chilled. It almost smells like date or fig with a tough of earth and something tart. The pallet is thinner with good acidity and a touch of effervescent. Initially, upon opening, there was a bit of pomegranate, which still lingers a bit after a day. There’s also a dried strawberry and a bit of dry earth. Good with salmon or chicken. — 7 years ago
Floral nose, lots of minerality. Amazing wine. Loved the contrast to his. Good enough to just drink without food. — 8 years ago
A really beautiful New World Chardonnay. Initial notes of golden apple and a touch of pineapple. Balanced acidity and oakiness come through as lemon curd and vanilla. — 10 years ago
Underrated. I am not going to say there are no better cool climate domestic Syrahs out there. But please submit your submissions and try to prove us wrong. For its category, this is highly worthy of attention. — 11 years ago
Celebrated the birth of my first born with this. Fairly dry and crisp. — 11 years ago
2008 vintage. Good purity of fruit. — 12 years ago
Another excellent wine but not as good as the Domaine de Chevalier; chosen by Sommelier John Ragan of The Modern, NYC for a corp wine tasting. — 13 years ago
I can’t tell you how many of these bottles of this I’ve enjoyed. Beautiful glou — 6 years ago
Sharp acidity, medium body, notes of apple, pear, with a long citrus finish. One of my favorites, and an outstanding value. — 6 years ago
Minor leagues compared to the J Schram or the Billecarte but nothing stopped the two of us from polishing off this magnum on Friday night. No regrets come Saturday morning. — 7 years ago
Warm spicy notes of toasted oak. Thick. Very full bodied. Long taste afterwards. Very velvety! Love this red!! — 7 years ago
Big, bold cab but also jammier than the typical cab. Has Syrah like notes because of it. — 8 years ago
Probably the most exciting wine I've had from California or maybe the U.S. this year. Absolutely delicious, refreshing acidity with bright, soft blackberry fruit and the faintest hint of cassis on the finish. It's perfect. This is my favorite kind of wine. — 10 years ago
I really came to like this one. The pedigree of the vineyard is unassailable & while this opened on the first day with a jumbled mix of bracing acid backed with some opulent creaminess which eventually came together and showed a lemon curd richness tamed by acidic tension. Fantastic stuff. — 10 years ago

Finishing the last tasty bits of this 2012 Anthill Farm, Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Dusted cocoa, strwbry, cherry & orange citrus spice, so good. Love my introduction to this lil Pinot gem over a year ago. #certifiablydelish — 11 years ago
Complete, a touch of oak, ready, I like it a lot. — 13 years ago

Dark red purple with a near black core. Big bosomy nose of black plum, black currant, and mineral char. Full bodied palate echoes the nose adding red apple peel and juicy blackberry with medium plus acidity and medium tannins. Finish is moderately long and sustains the palate. Chappellet continues to impress with this entry level Bordeaux style blend that’s ready for cookouts, fine dining, cigars, or just a good by-the-glass sip. Drink now through 2024. — 5 years ago
