Pale straw to clear in color. On the nose a perfume of honey, apricot, nectarine, a burst of slate and touch of petrol. On the palate is a nice bit of acid balanced with a touch of residual sugar. The wine glides through the middle and finishes with green apples, melon and honeysuckle. Quite a lovely wine that isn't too loud, where the low mid and highs are nuanced for your tasting pleasure. — 2 years ago

Enjoying a lovely older bottle. Definitely off dry but with all sorts of Rheingau flavours coming through. — 6 years ago
Yummmmm. Perfect with thanksgiving #2. It is perfectly aged with notes of petrol, lemon curd, and earl grey tea. Deep golden color and has built quite a bit in texture and weight over the years. I love how kabinett gets richer and auslese gets seemingly lighter over the years. This is a perfect example of a $20ish wine worth aging for a decade — 6 years ago

2016. The liner of the screw cap was stuck to the bottle and there was a nice POP when I pulled it off, no other fizz in the wine. What was immediately released were big red fruit aromas. This trocken wine had more to offer than fruit, and the crisp acidity and minerals helped it pair great with a smoky wedding kielbasa, white bean, and mustard green ragout. — 3 years ago
Classic oily petrol plastic Riesling, but with a crispness and some minerality — 5 years ago

Little bubbly and delicious for a summer evening — 7 years ago
Entry-level wine from this renowned Rheingau estate. Riesling from their 20 hectares of vineyards overlooking the Rhine, first planted in 817 supposedly on the orders of Charlemagne, and replanted with Riesling since 1720. Aged for four months on the lees. Intense nose, with tropical fruit (ripe pineapple, passion fruit ) and stone fruit aromas. Round, quite ripe, subtle tropical flavors. Good length. — 9 months ago

Petrol-forward, slightly oxidized nose. Massively floral, great ripeness. Peach, honey, golden apple, electric mouthfeel and taut with minerality. Impeccable concentration of fruit- such intensity yet so much delicacy. Superb with my green shrimp curry. One of my favorite producers from the Rudi Wiest portfolio, particularly for its value. — 6 years ago

Melón, some citrus, slight hint of butter, on the nose. Smooth with very moderate tannins, medium finish. Paired well with the classic cabbage and sausage German dish. Would definitely have again! — 6 months ago
