Hello Delectable,
This is a Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon blend.
2016 vintage.
Grown in Chianti Classico and aged 24 months in Allier barriques then 18 months in bottle.
Big, rich sweet dark cherry, black plums. violets, woodsy and olives.
Powerful and intense with elegance and balance..
Great structure and complexity with a velvety finish. — 2 years ago
This wine is medium dark garnet in the glass. The nose has a good supply of cherry and raspberry notes, dusted up with earth, tar and anise. The palate has a bit of licorice on it, but mainly serves as a showcase for the red fruit. There are some spicy elements, too. White pepper, nutmeg, and a very light clove sense brighten up the fruit. Tannic structure is firm and acidity refreshing. I had mine with a slow cooker red wine short rib dish, and the pairing was sublime. — 3 months ago
nice spice maybe nutmeg very good! — 5 months ago
Medium ruby , medium ruby garnet rim . Quite aromatic , cedar, red cherry , cut herbs , and a slight meaty , soy , balsamic touch . On the palate quite lean red fruits and some dark cherry , blackberry , cedar , liquorice with a herbal tinge . Gritty tannin , quite high acidity . Slightly short and lean on the finish . This is drinking at peak now , doesn’t have the structure or density to last so would recommend to drink over the next 3-5 years . — 7 months ago
Good wine for a nice Italian dinner. Pairs well with a variety of food. Not incredible, but not going to break the bank either. — 8 months ago
