2001 vintage. Excellent fill. Used a Durand. Cork perfect. Decanted with expected sed and tasted after 2 hours. Medium body but dark as a closed closet. Dirty graphite nose that rang true in the flavors with some restrained plum, cherry and Valrhona chocolate as the backing, rhythm section. Miles to go before it sleeps. Pretty close to the top of the bell curve now. Wow. 10.17.25. — 7 days ago

Still got it! Deep golden color. Apricot, bergamot, soft anise. Light textured on the palate. Only 8% ABV, easy to drink. Not too sweet. Amazingly approachable. — a month ago

See previous Delectable note in December 2024. Amazingly pale for a 14 year old white. Aromatics of lemon, lanolin and wet straw. It hasn’t yet developed the toasty characters I was expecting, indicating still a long life ahead. Overall this is delicate on a light bodied leanish palate. Only 11% ABV. Lovers of big buttery Chardonnay may not appreciate this wine. 3 bottles left - I will try and have the next one in 12 to 18 months. — a month ago

@Doug Powers That is a reality facing me as well Doug but it doesn’t stop me buying certain Burgundies however. I guess someone will enjoy them one day.
