Mercurey rising. This wine is really showing well now. Candied cherry, tart currant, leather, crushed aspirin, black, and sandalwood. #devillaine — 9 years ago
From an A+ vineyard, on the St. Aubin side of the Montrachet hill. Next to the Chevalier Montrachet parcel, but with a different exposure (south-west instead of south-east). Energetic Burgundy from a rising star domaine (especially since son Olivier took over in 1995). — 10 years ago
Nice and balanced wine with medium high alcohol 13% abv. Herbaceous notes with lime skin notes, grassy character and some buttery, oaky aromas going stronger with temperature rising. 50% fermentation in barriques. Quite complex and interesting wine, not your average Sancerre. — 10 years ago
Channeling The Cure #aforest #dauvissat #robertsmith Acid for days. A surprise given the fat nature of the vintage. Seawater, tide pool, slate, citrus galore. Check back in 4-5 years. — 10 years ago
Amazingly good for a reasonable price! — 10 years ago
Rare that I like this - not too sweet — 11 years ago

Oh yeah, Raveneau! Heading out soon on a wineless trip (though I might whine), so I opened this on a whim and it stuns. Essence of Chardonnay with incredible minerality, acidity, intensity, focus--citrus zest magnified. Screaming for oysters, the wine has to be happy with just us drinking it. Great wine rising above its premier cru status. — 8 years ago
Delicious wine. Benefits greatly from decanting. Firm pleasurable tannins. This wine is a keeper and in 3-4 years will be amazing. Rating the wine where it is now. Will buy more bottles to lay down.👍🏼 — 9 years ago
Good material, but extremely reduced. High(rising) pressure today may have influenced. Purportedly better on day 2 after a vigorous shake of the bottle. — 9 years ago
Creamy. Yeast rising. Elegant. — 10 years ago
Squatters best beer hands down. Good strong, hoppy, bitter IPA. — 10 years ago
White Hermitage from one of the rising stars of the Northern Rhone Valley. A great expression of the Marsanne grape. Stonefruit, honey, white flowers with a full and almost lanolin texture on the palatte. A subtly sweet nut butter finish. Only a few dozen cases exported to the US. — 10 years ago
Delicious. Lovely winter day in the kitchen...rising bread dough, preserved lemon, rice pudding with white raisins. — 11 years ago

Six different grapes ageing in French oak made the trick; a complex and rich wine, full of intense yet delicate aromas and flavors - Um blend de seis castas o envelhecimento em carvalho francês dão o tom aqui; um vinho complexo e estruturado, com grande intensidade de aromas delicados e sabores formidáveis! — 10 years ago
Really nice with some pine. — 10 years ago
A gorgeous bouquet of violets came rising immediately on the first pour, bursting into my nose showing only a hint of barbecue sauce and what's to come. 30 minutes later bacon was grilling in the glass and smoke was rising in billowing clouds of invisible aroma. Fuck ya. Always over delivers, this one. Cote rotie throw aways? Yes please and thanks! — 10 years ago
Freakin' delicious! — 10 years ago
This is my second favorite IPA. Just behind my favorite heddy topper. — 10 years ago
Bold, rich dry lots of flavor. — 12 years ago

Ocean Spray Cranraspberry on the nose. Deep cooked red fruit on the palate. This is decieving wine where the nose doesn't reflect the palate at all. The nose is nice though... — 8 years ago
