Columbia County 2.0: interesting drinking this day after a German Pinot, as I found them surprisingly related. A fave Beaujo producer’s Morgon, also a cooler tone & elegant. Really solid. Polished and silky, but earthy and mineral and rustic too. Held up for days. Structured but not impenetrable; could age, but I didn’t eat the baby. Good work in a sloppy hot year. Bouland deserves more attention; I think he’s surpassing a few of the heirs to the gang. — 5 years ago
