Don’t drink much Zin, but this was enjoyable. Way more approachable young than some of the wines I have a hard time appreciating (can’t imagine enjoying, say, a 2021 Barolo) — 2 years ago
We love this Chardonnay. It has a lovely smooth, buttery, semi-sweet/tart flavor with hints of green apple and a soft honeysuckle bouquet. — 4 years ago
The 2017 ‘Reserve’ Pinot Noir by Knudsen Vineyards is a barrel selection wine by Nate Klostermann. More dense on the nose than the entry level bottling, this shows suggestions of white truffle and wild blackberry that mingle with the earthy undertones. Soft and generous on the palate, this shows of a beautiful mouthfeel. Red and dark fruits mingle with minerals and shades of caramel and peat moss on the palate. The sense of balance is gorgeous here. While a delight to savor in its youth, this beautiful wine will cellar well for a decade or more. Drink 2019-2033- 92 — 7 years ago
Light golden in color.
Nose of citrus, lemons, apples, pears, light earth, light bread and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and small bubbles.
Dry on the palate with lemons, red and green apples, herbs, light yeast, minerals, sea salt, light earth and spices.
Smooth finish with lemons and light spices.
This is a delicious Sparkling wine from Dundee Hills in Oregon. Elegant and rich. Complex and entertaining.
This 9 year old Single Vineyard is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Fruit forward and exciting. Well balanced and engaging.
Wine Enthusiasts 94 points.
A great sipping wine, that would also pair nicely with food.

Savory mushroomy nose, apple cider, salty brioche, lime zest, medium finish, fine bubbles — 3 years ago
Really great- baking spices and cedar plank on the nose mixed with mild plum or blackberries. Fruit is still balanced and secondary on the palate, with earthy, woody tones and mild tannins but not weak. Very well balanced and light to medium bodied, but not thin. — 6 years ago
The 2017 Knudsen Vineyards Chardonnay was sourced from their estate vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley. Weighing in at 13.5% alcohol, this starts off with a bouquet of Meyer lemon zest, Challah bread, Pink Lady apple and shades of clove. The palate reveals a silky texture and a soft mouthfeel that feels more than inviting. There is a wonderful feeling of elegance to this wine as it drifts through the palate in a seamless fashion. Citrus fruit and melon flavors connect with the bright minerality. Showing beautifully now, this will continue to develop lovely nuances as it evolves over the next decade or more. Smooth encroaching Zin. Old school. The balance hides the 15% abv. Woodsy spice and cola and Dr Pepper. Moderate tannin. Very much enjoyed this. — 10 years ago
Surprisingly rich and aromatic ... Wonderful nose, full mixed-berry palate, nice acid/fruit balance! Vines were planted in 1905 and still going strong! 2011 was a tough year in Napa, and I've tasted many thin and harsh 2011 Zins, but this is a notable exception! If you run into this one, snap it up! — 11 years ago
Argyle Winery Spirit House Knudsen Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016, Dundee Hills, Oregon
A beautiful color of ruby red with medium intensity.
Fresh red berries on the nose with light oak, spices and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, currants, light wood, chocolates, herbs, light red candy, spices and light green tea.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Pinot Noir from Oregon. Elegant and rich. Fresh and easy drinking right out of the bottle. Fruit forward and complex.
This 9 year old Single Vineyard Pinot Noir feels very fresh tasting but complex. Drank from a Magnum, so it might have been a little different.
Wil continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
A great sipping wine that will pair nicely with food too.

I'm generally a big fan of the Argyle sparklers, but this one was so much apple for a long time it was almost a cider. Eventually improved and turned good but definitely an unusual profile for an extended period. — 4 years ago
Sparkling Chardonnay....made me like Chardonnays again — 6 years ago
Beautiful sparkler from one of the best in the US. Bottle fermented and aged on the yeast for 10 years! 2009 was a warm growing season in Oregon, and the fruit for this vintage was harvested in 6 days! This is a creamy textured sparkler with hints of roasted hazelnut, quince/pear, and brioche. Beautifully long finish. 59% Pinot and 42% Chardonnay. 80% from Knudsen Vineyard and 20% from Lone Star Vineyard. Only 1,500 cases produced. It’s one of the best spelling wines I’ve had from Argyle. Get it while (and if) you can! — 6 years ago
Delicious. Refreshing acidity. Long and lingering finish. At the Knudsen Winery tasting in NYC. — 10 years ago
As promised in an earlier review, I wanted to discover what black currant tastes like since we all use it to describe flavor in our wine tasting! This IS NOT WINE , only juice so don't get confused. It is 100% pure unsweetened black currant juice with no preservatives nor artificial flavors. It is wonderful!!!!!!! I do not like sweet juice such as orange juice or pineapple juice. This is dark purple - like a dark cab. It has a sour blackberry / boysenberry / cranberry juice flavor. However it is easier to drink and it doesn't make my lips curl up from being too sour! It leaves my mouth dry! It has a long finish that is sweet!!!! But the beginning is a bit sharp on the sour side which I love. It is simply lovely! I do suggest tasting and smelling the things we use to describe our wine. I am going to drink a lot of this juice from now on! Probably daily! — 10 years ago
