Excellent. Approachable Nebbiolo, 2013--just enough age to make it enjoyable. Getting ready for our upcoming Italy trip! Looking for recommendations. Visiting Barolo et al and Puglia this time around.
Friends: where should we go? Who should we meet? What should we drink?

@ADAM STROMFELD @Frank @Kevin Ortzman Meri-Taaaah-gio!!! This older vintage showed great, not sure what happened to the more recent blends, but they could learn something from this style. @David L great late night choice from @Mike R ‘s cellar. — 7 years ago
Perfection after 2 hours. Insane!

@Shawn R @David L I’m going through my pics to see if you guys missed any of the wines that we enjoyed and found this one!
By far one of the best Napa Chardonnay that I have had this year. Absolutely Amazing.
It’s in a great spot right now and easily has another 15 years ahead of it.
Truly freakishly good. Napa’s Version of a Batard Montrachet. — 8 years ago
Some more #whiteglovelove for you guys haha @David L @TheSkip @Bill Bender @Martin G Rivard @Shay Aldriedge @Shawn R @Ron R

First wine in flight three for the Bordeaux Master's Class at Heart's Delight with all wines from Margaux.
Medium to deep ruby red. Layered nose with an attack of blackberries and cinnamon. Followed by an undertone of red cherries. Heavy tannins (7/10) with a touch gritty in texture, almost like a soft sandpaper. Quite a bit of a acidity but still balanced with notes of yeast, sweet spices, cinnamon, vanilla, and dark black fruits. Dry medium plus to full body with a long finish. Drink till 2037+. (91+) — 8 years ago
Smiles beyond belief
Everyone should do a virtual wine tasting with the @David L @Ron R @Shay A @Eric LaMasters @Bill Bender @joe lucca @Carl Fischer @shawn rose and me
We just did one and so much fun
My first wine of the the night was the 2016 Kongsguard the judge - off the hook good - a little early but so damn good — 5 years ago

A phenomenal prelude to a bad ass evening! The only thing that could’ve made it better is if all of you guys were here! 😂 @David L @Shawn R @Mike R @Joe Lucca @Ron R @Shay A @Howard Greenfield — 7 years ago
Medium ruby core with garnet edges. Aged characteristics on the nose with damp earth, a little espresso, a touch smoky, cinnamon and stewed plums. Medium tannins (6/10) and plus medium body. Dark cocoa on the attack of the palate intermingled with plums, black currants, black cherries and lots of spices. A bit of anise and the Petit Verdot coming through in the medium plus finish. Drink till 2018.

Lovely old world white burg style. Paraffin, tangerine zest, oak, and white flowers on the nose. Sweet Meyer lemon, nectarine, peach, wet slate, and some lemongrass. Finishes nice and clean.
Wishing all the dads out there a very Happy Father's Day! @Mike R @Ron R @Martin G Rivard @David L @ADAM STROMFELD @Bill Bender @Jody Scharf @Shawn R @Kevin Ortzman @Frank — 8 years ago
When you’re in the smoke (London), white burgs are front and center. @David L, @Bill Bender, @Shay A, @Mike R, @Joe Lucca, @Carl Fischer, @Eric LaMasters, and @Shawn R would wet their pants over this. Killer expression of burg. Regal, pristine and focused. Extends and expands on the palate. Head-spinning presentation - Chelsea, London. — 5 years ago
Really fresh, yeasty, with steel, lemons and good definition. A lot of promise. Young — 5 years ago
I truly do not care what the ratings are for this wine. it was definitely the wine of the night and we had a ton of bad ass wines tonight! Such balance and opulence. Time definitely did this justice as it was fully integrated and drank like a kick ass Bordeaux!!!! All of us at the table tonight we’re looking at each other going, OMG! We literally could not put the bottle down as it was that good. Thank you so much my friend for sharing this gorgeous beauty with us.!!!! @David Wrightson @David L You would have loved this monster my friend! Reminiscent of the bad ass wines that we killed in New York together!@Shawn R A repeat will be forthcoming soon enough! Can’t wait to get together! Love you guys! Can’t Wait to see all of you guys!! LOL — 7 years ago
Thanks Joe for sharing this awesome bottle with us!! @Joe Lucca @David L @Shawn R @Bill Bender — 7 years ago
Celebrated Lauren's 16th birthday in Paris with this terrific grower champagne! Lots of crisp apple flavour - a really great drink. — 8 years ago
From Mag. Mature... a hint of apple and sherry but not too much. On the palate broad and slightly lush with settled acidity and decent length. Given this is s mag, it's probably worth checking in on these as their time may soon be up, but for drinking right now- very good — 8 years ago
"Bad Ass in a Glass" is quite accurate here. Poured from a double magnum, this was a big wine that had people smiling and buzzing (in every sense of the word!). Globs of dark fruit, silky smooth, a touch sweet, but so well integrated.
Thank you @Martin G Rivard and @Christine for an epic 48 hours and for opening your home last night for the Super Bowl of wine tastings (and for the four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches that magically appeared toward the end of the night!).
While the wines shared last night literally were the best of the best, so too were the folks I had the pleasure of seeing again and meeting for the first time. Thank you all for making last night so memorable. I look forward to staying in touch and sharing a glass (bottle?) with you all again in the near future.

Zoom tasting with a 2014 Napa theme with the WNH @Shay A @Mike R @Eric LaMasters @Ron R @David L @Shawn R @Carl Fischer @Joe Lucca...on 3/22...this event was non stop laughs and went a good 3 hours. Such good times. The Greer was drinking phenomenally in its youth. Gripping tannins give way to an ethereal core of black cherry, cedar and dark chocolate. It’s as close to Scarecrow in profile as any wine I’ve had. This will only get better. — 5 years ago
