Loved this wine! Slight acidity nice legs, deep berries, great personality!! — 6 years ago
Fun guy. Still some life left. Not nearly as complex as the older Barolos obviously but at a fraction of price. Cork was safe 🤙🏻 — 7 years ago
Toffee. Fruit is severely weakened. — 7 years ago
Consider this a collective note on the '67 Barolo vintage...having tasted through about fifteen, most were fading or already past it. Burlotto, Prunotto, and Vietti were all wonderful and G. Rinaldi could legitimately go another decade, but in general, drink 'em if ya got 'em! — 8 years ago
Fantastic! Very much alive. Lovely cherry fruit, balsamic, roses, tannins are mostly resolved, but still present. — 2 years ago
Bright ruby thin pink rim . Quite aromatic herbal tinged ripe red fruits , touch of spice . On the palate quite ripe and sweet liquorice tinged cherry , red currant and raspberry fruits . Quite fresh acidity and slightly bity tannins , ok length , slightly bitter sweet finish. — 2 years ago
Cork intact, decanted with some fine sediment for one hour. Looking like the color of tea and as clear as that too. Lots of umami and similar aromas of aged Madeira — 5 years ago
The wine opened tight but opened up within a matter of minutes. Jammy bouquet of black currant and plum, the wine showed good fruit, balanced tannins and a long, silky finish. The wine may have been near its peak, but it had plenty of fruit, suggesting it would drink well for another 10 years. A lovely Barolo! — 6 years ago
Lusciously fruity and earthy at the same time. On the nose there are notes of black cherry and wet leaves/forest floor. Still more fresh black fruit on the palate, a little bit of vanilla incense and violets. Quite decent acidity with silky tannins and med + alcohol which is balanced nicely. Paired well for me with baked Provoleta cheese! — 7 years ago
Mossy, still showing some rich red fruit / lots of earth, not much structure / still a deep, thoughtful wine — 7 years ago
Wow, wonderful wine. Very smooth but rich with flavor. Big nose, rich with ripe fruit. Smoooooth on the tongue with rich flavors. Loved it!! — 2 years ago

Medium-dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, cassis, leather, sage. Plus body, plus tannins, and plus acid - but otherwise smooth and beautifully balanced on the palate. 60% Barbera, 40% Syrah. — 9 months ago
