Slightly preferred the Syrah Leone but this was also excellent, a bit broader and spicier perhaps attributable to the grenache — 19 days ago
Still a little closed, needs some time or significant air but tremendous purity and whole cluster structure, red fruit driven with rose petals, wet earth and leaves, a touch of smoke and stony limestone character aplenty — 25 days ago
Fantastic Chablis from an upstart young producer—mostly stainless, wild yeasts, minimal wood. Oyster shell, pear, lemon and white flowers. Would revisit in 5 years — a month ago
Beautiful trousseau in a great spot. Cherry, rhubarb, blood orange, soil, autumnal dried leaves, black tea. Wouldn’t wait too much on it — 13 days ago
Among my favorite Renaissance wines, surpassed perhaps only by the 2001. Still loads of sweet piquant red and black cherries, currants, stewed plums, dried meat, mesquite wood, chocolate, wet earth, graphite and iron. Tannins have dropped out (as evidenced by the loads of sediment) leaving a velvety smooth texture. Not falling off a cliff but should be enjoyed soon — 23 days ago
Absolutely gorgeous, lively red and black fruits with citrus and herbaceous tones, great BBQ accompaniment — a month ago
Great freshness, tangy red fruits with dried herbs, spice and soil tones, great grilling wine — 18 days ago
I can see why this is cult Syrah—absolutely stunning, highly perfumed, deep black fruit, leather, torrefaction, violets, dried herbs — 19 days ago
Noticeably darker fruited and more deeply pitched than the Plantes Aux Bois. Tart red berries, black plums and soil tones, delicious right now. — 25 days ago

I’m sure I’m paying a bit of a premium for the name here but it’s very well done. Nice acid, lemon and pear, slightly creamy texture — 10 days ago
