Some #xinomavro potential here from #naoussa as this holds up pretty well after 15 years. Exquisite nose of tomato paste, cherries and layers of violet conducting leather and earthy aromas. A modest blackberry base with wispy but sustained tannins. Some earthy spices too. Really, this is the first wine I've had from Turkey, and if this is representative of the quality, I'd seek it out. A nice dry SB. I am having a hard time picking out individual notes, but I am quite enjoying this while sitting outside on a beautiful spring day. I think this would pair nicely with a chicken Caesar salad or the chicken shawarma from Pita Jungle. Very good stuff! — 10 years ago
