100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. The fruit is bold, but it keeps the noteworthy tannins and alcohol in lovely balance. Oaky on the finish but not overpowering. Beautiful wine. Thank You so much, Kase. — 3 years ago

2019 vintage. Albarino from 35 years old vines close to the Umia river on predominantly sandy soils. Fermented in stainless steel and 6 months of ageing on the lees. Bright very pale yellow. Lovely perfume of lemon confit, fresh yellow prunes, with hints of quince and a distinctive minerality. Fresh taste with ripe stone fruit (prunes, peaches), very present but not aggressive acidity and some mineral salinity in the finish. Very dry with less than 1 g/l of residual sugar. Abv. 12,5%. After sending back an oxidized, tired 2020 Rossi di Montalcino, the Somm had the waiter bring back this wine at around the same price point. Don’t sleep on #barberadalba from a great producer. Raspberry, plum, dusty dark fruit nose. So vibrant on the palate with lush yet tangy dark red fruit on the entry, gossamer tannins on the finish. Corking it after dinner and after the next day in the wine fridge still as alive. — 6 months ago
