Uncomplicated and good — 8 months ago
This Ripasso went well with tagliata and steak it did need some time to open but when it did the fruit a the raisin aftertaste was really enjoyable. This was a 2020 vintage and I think it might even be better if left for a few more years. — a year ago
Yum.. someone said “minerals raspberry”. That’s it out of the bottle. As it opens the dryness, the currant, the earthy hit in waves.
Fruit stays big and tart.

2020 Pietra marina - Etna Bianca superiore. Golden straw coloration. From Mila, birthplace of carricante, why it’s superiore. On the nose, citrus, herbaceous, salinity and minerality. On the palate, rich mouthfeel, citrus, herbs, salinity from the sea, and a finish of herbs (tarragon?) and minerals. Interesting- combo of Chablis and Chardonnay. Paired with mushroom and spring onion mayonnaise. — 13 days ago
