The 2020 Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills) is fabulous. In fact, the appellation wine is my favorite Pinot in this range. The combination of the sites, and a bit less stem influence than the vineyard designates, works so well. There's a bit more fruit, more mid-palate sweetness and better balance overall, in my view. All the elements are so well put together. All of this fruit is from Machado and Hapgood. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2022)

Great vintage for Pignan that is rich, floral & perfumed showing perfect balance. This had lots of red cherry, currants & strawberry with notes of Asian spice, pepper, orange peel, forest floor, dried herbs & rose petal. I have always preferred the cooler vintages for Rayas. — 5 years ago
I only had a small taste, but I’ll take it! Smells of oak spice, marijuana, rose petal, pomegranate and forest floor... it smells like vosne. The palate is very elegant, with ripping acidity and a long finish. Gorgeous wine. — 8 years ago
The 2019 Barbera d'Asti Tre Vigne is one of the hidden gems in Vietti’s stellar range. Crushed rocks, lavender, rose petal, mint, gravel and inky dark fruit all run through a racy, beautifully layered Barbera that will drink well right out of the gate. $20.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2021) — 4 years ago
Stunning, powerful but only 13.5 % Alc. Very complex. Blueberry, rose petal, sage, pepper. I drink a great deal of high end California Pinot and is right up there with the very best! — 5 years ago
Bright red fruits, rose petal and blood orange. Lovely elegance and balance acidity and tannins are well integrated. — 6 years ago
Earth driven wine with loads of dried tobacco aromas, dried rose petal, anise seed and black truffle. Kirsch liquor and cherry pit with vibrant tannins and acidly. Long persistent finish that lingers. — 2 years ago
From half bottle...crushed cherries, licorice root, rose petal, slight cola notes. Smooth. — 6 years ago
