Special name, special occasion. Love ‘12 CA Cabs and this one especially. Surreal power for age 14. Still dense fruit, good balance but still more tilt and less finesse. Maybe better in 3-5 years but shows the heft of a well made Napa Cab. — 8 months ago
One of my favorite cabs. Wonderfully balanced complexity, silky mouth feel, a bit chewy with a delightful finish. Put it up for a couple of years if you can wait. — 10 months ago

Unmistakably Central Otago to my palate. Red plums and raspberries. 20% of the grapes were whole bunch. Also aged in 27% new oak. I must mention Neil Martin’s famous Quote, “ Whenever there is a tasting designed to challenge the supremacy of Burgundy, it is usually Felton Road that is ushered into the ring”. Very much on allocation these days and can be difficult to source. — 4 months ago

citrusy -light wine :) — a year ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and nutty scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, vanilla, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A beautiful Chardonnay. — a year ago

Fruity, refreshing and beautiful it’s at the top of my list. 2026 summer perfect to enjoy it whilst watching cockatoos and other birds in the garden 😃 — 8 months ago
Good wine, Zyns-a-nator said it’s about as good as Wairau River, but just a different flavor overall that she prefers less. — a year ago
I love New Zealand’s wine, their strong taste and aroma, almost no aftertaste, especially if compared to French or Italian good Sauvignon blanc. — 2 years ago
Great white wine we enjoyed both before and during dinner. Will buy again. — 7 years ago

Fun fact - So this wine is from the winemaker of Cloudy Bay before it got taken over by LVMH. Another fun fact - it's one of the best whites I've had! — 14 years ago

2017 Ravine White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes). Nine years old and still seems youthful. Great nose of zesty Granny Smith and slightly unripe Cortland apples and lots of high-toned stony minerality. Palate is concentrated and intense, lots of crisp acid to balance the deep fruit and intense stones. Lipsmackingly delicious. 9.3 (This is a re-post because @Delectable Wine deep-sixed the original) — 4 months ago
