Bright Sicilian red blend, served with rice noodle-vegetable bowl at Bandaloop in Arundel, ME — 3 years ago
If you find the Nero Davola too heavy, this one is for you. A Sicilian red that has the earthy qualities that Etna provides, but so much lighter than other reds from the region. This has hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very light cherry on the finish. Good warm weather trattoria wine. — 4 years ago
Etna Rosso a nerello mascalese + cappuccio blend. Tannins holding their grip on the fruits, you do get those hints of berry extracts but the ashy rocky terroir is definitely dominating the profile. — 5 years ago
Exquisite - paired with duck, pork and even halibut. What a treat. Depth and red fruit notes. — 9 months ago
No notes—height of elegance and class, incredibly impressive Etna — 10 months ago
White cherry on the nose, apricot skin, grapefruit pith, lots of minerality and savory notes on the palette, acidic and tannic but we'll balanced - lots of character — 3 years ago
Nice way going. But good and clear — 5 months ago
Really loving this hearty (deappellated) Etna Rosso with cavatelli smothered in lamb & beef ragout. A little tannic and stilted at first. This is a wine that needs food and a bit of of time after opening to relax and unfold. So many layers here: Carob, bay laurel, baked tomato, dried Mountmorency cherries, a touch of smoke/ash. Rustic, yet polished and sophisticated. — 7 months ago
From 110 year old ungrafted vines. Extremely elegant and soft despite the 15.5 alcohol. Medium body, concentrated black and red fruit, high minerality and salty. Beautiful nose and long burn. Absolutely delicious, Burgundian. — 9 months ago
Lots of flavor! — 3 years ago
