Oof that’s good. All nectarine and creme fraiche. Impeccable balance. No butter or wonky barrel issues. For my taste, at this price, up there with the best of California chardonnay. Petaluma Gap. $50 at the winery but you can find it a bit cheaper. Winery Technical Notes: 76 clone, Whole-cluster pressing, 100% native yeast primary fermentation, 100% wild malolactic fermentation, 11 months in low toast, air-dry 3-year-old French oak, 25% new — 4 years ago
150+ years ago Giovanni Gaja opened small restaurant in Barbaresco, making wine to complement his food. 1859, he founded the Gaja Winery. Winery has been shaped by that of Angelo Gaja. Under Angelo's direction, the the native Nebbiolo grape was elevated to world-class esteem. Ruby, rich berry fruits aromas, earthy herbs. Palate, juicy cherry and raspberry with tobacco, black pepper, leather, savory tannins, great mouthfeel on rich long finish. Needs Cellaring! Tasting Sample! — 5 years ago

Full Body Red — 9 years ago
Red fruit aroma with notes of blackcurrant, dark ruby color, quite mild in taste for me, but otherwise quite perfect on its pen or together with some cheese. — 9 years ago
Date drank: June 2018

Grape(s): Cayuga and Seyval Blanc
Region: New York finger lakes made in Warren Maine
Distributor/Importer: na
Natty: Native yeast, very few sulfites, pet nat bottled before fermentation ends
Tasting Notes: this was delightful. Less yeasty or "toasty" that last year and more fruit to balance the funk. I got stone fruits and apple or pear. Bright fresh easy. Very glou glou. I wine I go back to year after year — 4 years ago

Our favorite wine during our last dinner in Sonoma. — 6 years ago
First time trying a Cabernet Franc and paired with both dark and white chicken. Worked way better with the darker meat. Loved supporting such an enivornmentally friendly vineyard as well. — 7 years ago
Nicky Hahn, grew up speaking German, his native language, the word ‘Hahn’ means rooster, which is why a depiction of this bird has always graced the label of his wines. Aromas of dark berry fruits and spicy floral notes. On the palate raspberry and blueberry flavors with tea and a touch of pepper spice. Fine soft tannins on lingering finish ending with earthy mineral tones. Nice value. — 8 years ago
