The first whiff reveals an elegant nose of small red cherries, spices, wildflowers, tea, and strong mineral notes; structure is robust (alc on high side, tannins fine, acid high) but with finess; the finish is long with a moderately oaked touch. Likeylikey! But way too young, this great -10 vintage will probably need a decade more to come out. The -10 Silvio Nardi and Col d'Orcia are more evolved and full-bodied, this one lighter and more elegant. — 10 years ago
