Interestingly smoky on the nose. Chewy at first sip as if strained through leather. Dark berry mid pallet with bark and spice finish. Humorous as some share a forest floor taste which I guess would depend on which forest. The wine is good and would go great with saucy pastas. Two thumbs up. Hubby had this one without me (!!). A cheap Italian blend for $13 but its quite delicious and complex. Interesting cider donut spice with cocoa and vanilla but also some basil and nutmeg. It’s a wild ride. Jealous that I missed it. — 20 days ago

Very good Montelpuciano especially with my veal scallopini and porcini mushrooms. Still young but very flavorful and fresh with cherry and red fruit flavors going on. Good Italian food wine at a reasonable price. — 2 months ago
