Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, black cherries, and wood smoke; on the palate, dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced intensity primary and secondary flavors of black currants, red bell peppers, black pepper, and crushed gravel with a long finish. This wine is intense and complex, but a little high in alcohol. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. It may need a little more time to open up. — 21 hours ago
This is in an interesting place. It’s still very fresh with lemon and fresh grass/hay, but more brioche and ripe apples than I usually expect. Lemon curd and stones, maybe some nectarine in there. Good amount of creaminess and heading towards baked pear/apple territory. Fascinating. Not as good as the donkey and goat chard I recently had, but this reminds me of Chablis meets champagne blanc de blanc. — a month ago
Nose is faint, fully resolving into the body. Body is soft and supple but wonderful experience on the palate with medium finish. Great wine. Tannins are still there, but holding the body with gossamer gloves. — 7 days ago
More oak than I typically like. Still, good minerality and acidity. This wine is about power. — 12 days ago
Toy Vineyard 2022. Nose of cherries and a hint of sweetness. Upfront cherries and dark fruit. Deep and lush. Quick almost but not sweet tannins. Excellent — 4 days ago
This is the kind of NZ Sauvignon Blanc I love! Fruity and fresh. — 20 days ago
Hits above its price point, QUITE enjoyable. Jammy without being cloying, full bodied, smooth. — 17 days ago

Smoky reduction dissipates w air, but not much. An off-putting sweetness emerges like burnt coconut. Not flabby but could lose a few Kgs. — 11 days ago
