Absolutely delicious. Superb with grilled lamb, chops and oven roasted beets! Love, love, love! 7:28, At home with Chas. — a year ago

2021. Popped and poured the first glass with dinner and used a splash to deglaze the pan. Really tart berry and peppery spice dominated. Was good with the steak, but letting the second glass open up over a few hours rounded out edges in this dark purple wine. Delicious! Can’t wait to try a third glass tomorrow… — 4 months ago

2020 vintage. Medium body. Pretty and with hella lanolin. Slightly less highbrow than chardonnay and clearly more refined than most Sauvignon Blancs. Keep an eye out as this is a winner. Just enuff acidity. Perfect for warmer Spring days and warmer Summer nights. 04.02.25. — 6 months ago
Yellow. Herbaceous first, chalk. Rich taste. Pear. Nuts. Sweet nuance but good acidity.

Límite Norte 2020
Rioja DOCa, Spain 🇪🇸
Overview
A fascinating and rare white Rioja crafted from 50% Tempranillo Blanco and 50% Maturana Blanca—two unusual indigenous grapes of the region. Tempranillo is normally seen in reds, while Maturana Blanca is one of the oldest native Spanish varietals, documented since the 17th century. Their combination here makes for a wine of heritage and innovation.
Aromas & Flavors
Expressive and aromatic, showing notes of ripe pear, golden apple, citrus peel, and hints of white flowers. Subtle layers of fennel, spice, and dried herbs emerge with air, giving the wine a savory complexity that sets it apart.
Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied with a broad texture, balanced by fresh acidity. It feels both intense and approachable, coating the palate with orchard fruit flavors while finishing long and lightly saline.
Winemaking Notes
Hand-harvested fruit from Rioja’s northern sector, with careful vinification in stainless steel and partial barrel aging to enhance depth and longevity while preserving varietal character.
Food Pairing
Ideal with Spanish tapas, grilled seafood, or roasted poultry. Also pairs beautifully with Manchego or other semi-cured cheeses, where its texture and complexity shine.
Verdict
A truly distinctive Rioja white—rare, indigenous, and characterful. It’s a wine that surprises with depth and originality, showcasing the lesser-known face of Spain’s iconic region. A must-try for adventurous wine lovers. — a month ago
