Prominent roasted, smokey aromas, leather, blueberry, blackberry, menthol, coffee bean, clove, black pepper, dried violets, pencil shavings.

Ripe blackberry, blueberry, and plum; vanilla bean, cocoa nib, black pepper, crushed rock / graphite. Fresh acidity; tannins resolving nicely but still robust.

If I had rated this one the night I opened it, I would have given it a slightly lower score. At first, I caught aromas of leather and meat drippings and flavors of sundried tomatoes. A couple of nights later, the wine had opened up nicely and had more floral and spice aromas and flavors of red berries and earth. Needless to say, an interesting wine, indeed. And from the Canary Islands! Huh. 90% Listan Negro, 10% Castellana Negra. 9/1/22. — 3 years ago

Consistently great wine. Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, dark berry, dark cherry, currants, cinnamon and spice, dark chocolate and smoked oak. On the palate, rich and full bodied, jammy fruits, dark berries and cherry, dark chocolate, hints of cinnamon, balsamic and espresso, smokiness/smoked oak. Aromas: predominam os aromas de frutas negras blackberry, Mirtilo e amoras negras acompanhados dos aromas de pimentão, baunilha, tabacco, pimentão, e notas de violetas.
