Very balanced with room to grow. The legs show the complexity and the smell is dry and layered. Very Good with Iberico — 10 months ago

Flavorful Castilian Verdejo, served with pasta (NHSLS) — 2 years ago
This 2019 Albariño displays high-pitched citrus fruit, quinine and chalky mineral qualities. Lively and precise in the mouth, it shows firm tension to the lime zest, quince and honeysuckle flavors. Takes on a deeper pear note with air and closes long and nervy. A hint of spicy ginger adds bite. $19.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2021) — 4 years ago
Just beautiful, needs a decant to develop fully but worth it. Silky smooth — 5 years ago

Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, dark cherry , ripe plum, vanilla, forest floor, oak, leather, truffle, spice, chocolate. On the palate, full bodied and elegant. Complex with an Extensive finish. Cherry, dark berry, vanilla, balsamic, spice, oak, gravel/minerals/forest floor then chocolate takes over. Long finish. — 9 months ago

If I had rated this one the night I opened it, I would have given it a slightly lower score. At first, I caught aromas of leather and meat drippings and flavors of sundried tomatoes. A couple of nights later, the wine had opened up nicely and had more floral and spice aromas and flavors of red berries and earth. Needless to say, an interesting wine, indeed. And from the Canary Islands! Huh. 90% Listan Negro, 10% Castellana Negra. 9/1/22. — 3 years ago

3.2. A nice Rioja, but a little dull. Perhaps 2018 was not such a good year. On sale for ‘$18.99. — 7 months ago
