Essentially orange in color. Great freshness high acidity. Fresh herbs - mostly thyme! Raspberry back palate and a hint of camembert from spontaneous fermentation? A standout Rose as always and one of a kind - can't wait for my case of the 15. Great on its own or with a nice salad perhaps with smoked trout? From Lyle Fass. Also available from some stores in New York. But i think the 14' might be gone. — 9 years ago

This Riesling is so complete: intense and fresh aromas ranging from lemon, lime, and peach to papaya, mango, passion fruit, and pineapple, plus savoriness like roasted mushrooms and lime leaf, just enough sugar to balance the high but integrated acidity, and a texture that's rich but refreshing. Clear and transparent, this is one of my favorite-ever Rieslings. Plus: the color would never suggest this wine is 20 years old! Thanks, @Lyle Fass. — 10 years ago
12.5% alc. Bottle no. 341/600.
This was intended to be shared with my tasting group (all Burg freaks) in Copenhagen in 6 weeks but let's just say that something happened today and they'll now be missing out.
If you still haven't seen or tasted the greatness of German Pinot's please DO NOT start with this (😜) because there's not much to share and I have enough troubles sourcing some of the precious few bottles that makes it to US.
A great wine!!!

Great zin... Fruitier than Zichichi, another fave...
Drank it with chargrilled garlic-lemon chicken and basil asparagus - nice complimentary and balanced zin for lighter fare.

Just another bombtrack from @Lyle Fass and Fass Selections! — 9 years ago
Cuvee Jean-Baptiste...Another killer rarity from Lyle Fass. Decadent but graceful. Shoulda bought more — 9 years ago
This wine is a high school kid who's a consensus number 1 draft pick. So young, raw, and talented. I like my Gamay young but this needs at least two years. Deep, richly extracted crunchy Gamay fruit and freshly cracked stones in the nose. In the mouth it's an MMA fight between tangy, crunchy, incredibly deep fruit, mouth-watering acids, and minerals. Long long saliva inducing finish. Great right now for its raw materials, but I really shouldn't have opened this until 2018 at least.
HT to Lyle Fass for bringing this rare cuvée in. — 10 years ago

I think Tarragon Stunning. The Bourgogne of this producer was OK but this is awesome! If you like Burgundy Lyle Fass the importer/seller is the only gig in the states were one can still score at decent prices. Lyle praises his wines highly - on this one he is spot on! Dark for a pinot licorice on the nose, licorice and blackberry and some black cherry on the palate. — 10 years ago
Awesome, loved this the most of all the @Lyle Fass wines this evening to drink now. A new region and producer for me I am going to seek this one out. Fleshy red fruits with spikes of savory and spice notes in the wine. A pure expression of Pinot Noir, the nose and palate were layered and persistent with a fleshy, medium grain ripe and silky tannic finish. Drink now with an hour, 2 is better of air. Will go this distance 12-15 years easy, maybe 20. Loved this! — 11 years ago

So good. Flower petals, white peach on a frame of calcium. @Lyle Fass I did not get enough of these... — 9 years ago

From Lyle Fass via his email. Only ca. 1000 bottles made each year. Lighter then the Koepfle. Limited acidity a great wine too but i prefer the Koepfle tonight. Chalk and back palate blackberry. Another burgundy beater. Lyle thank you‼️for importing these. Tell Hendrick he has a big fan in CA. So far along with Enderle & Moll which are more herbaceous these and theirs are probably some of the best pinot's 💰 or connections can buy. I would prefer this over some DRC's. — 9 years ago
"Dude, where's my car?" This is incredibly good. Balanced between mineral bite and fruit. Nice long finish to boot. Heck, a great value in Vezelay! Thanks @Lyle Fass — 9 years ago

@Lyle Fass still very good but I think Murat caught up post 2010 vintage. — 10 years ago
Never disappointed. I could drink this wine everyday. So beautiful so refreshing. Perfect balance. #fassselections @Lyle Fass — 10 years ago
2012 - HT to @Lyle Fass for bringing these in. So light in color it was almost a rose. Pine needles and resin on the nose. Nice medium plus body. Delicious and unique! — 11 years ago
Doctor No
This is @Lyle Fass doing what he does best - unknown producer doing interesting things in a classic way. Linear, precise, ripe, dry, electric, long. Good stuff. — 8 years ago
