Dark translucent ruby color. Darker and more brooding than the Kapelle, but still has plenty of bright acidity and crunchy stem notes and red cherry fruit. Still a bit closed. Fantastic stuff!

12.5% alc. Bottle no. 952/1000.

Brutally young and not strutting its stuff at this early stage, my experience with this producer tells me happy owners of this vintage will have broad smiles on their faces in 10+ years and probably for a few decades after that!
Tasted non-blind and REALLY liking this producer I simply can't rate it with an unbiased mind but I highly recommend inquisitive palates to check this (and other German Pinots) out.

@Henrik Möbitz - Sehr geehrter Herr - ich bin ein großer Fan und hoffe, wir haben die Möglichkeit, einen Tag zu treffen.

Not an E&M but still good. I popped the bottle and was disappointed. It took 24 hours to mellow out. Chalk, cedar, marble dust. Black tea. A challenging wine from a vintage which was it seems was rough in Baden.

A great wine. Like a Burg. Dark fruit blackberry hint raspberry and cinnamon tart and barky. Crushed marble. Fantastic mouth feel. Round. I think Möbitz stopped making wine? This is world class bottle #920 of 1000. Elegant.

From Lyle Fass via his email. Only ca. 1000 bottles made each year. Lighter then the Koepfle. Limited acidity a great wine too but i prefer the Koepfle tonight. Chalk and back palate blackberry. Another burgundy beater. Lyle thank you‼️for importing these. Tell Hendrick he has a big fan in CA. So far along with Enderle & Moll which are more herbaceous these and theirs are probably some of the best pinot's 💰 or connections can buy. I would prefer this over some DRC's.
