Tremendous wine. Such an underdog at Cruchandeau. Glorious nose of florals, bright cherry fruit, some funk, now black cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Just terrific. Palate is opulent and incisive at the same time. Juicy with terrific acidity and engaging freshness that really extends the finish. Really well made and belies the level. On the nose: bruised apple, medicinal.herbs, a fair amount of va, and then loads of slate...this btl has blown off the struck match reduction. On the palate: very good acidity, hi-toned lemon and soft lemon oil. Finishes quickly. Ok. — 6 years ago

Blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, medium Ruby color, purple hues, with aromas of black/red fruits, currants, herbs and hints floral spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, plums and red berries with herb, licorice, floral and pepper spice. Full rich tannins with a long finish ending with fruit, floral and earthy spice notes. So after the last wine I was obliged to open something else from the same appellation. Medium deep ruby , with quite wide light garnet rim . Quite fruit driven and aromatic , red currant , rose , wild strawberry , raspberry and just a touch of spice. On the palate this has the cool red fruits of the nose with red currant, raspberry and wild strawberry , well balanced alcohol with fresh acidity , rounded ripe tannins and good refreshing sweet red fruit finish . This is quite elegant and refreshing , well proportioned and well balanced. To drink now and over the next 5 years or so . I hope that after the last wine I am not being overly generous , but I think this showed very well , with really good elegance and freshness. — 7 months ago
