A pale, clear lemon color in the glass. Really nice acidity and character. Floral aromas off top with juicy pears and lemon peel complimenting. Chamomile and olive juice with dried herbs. Really nice nose.

Terrific value to be found here as it always is with wines from this co-op. Very balanced with nice structure. Chalky with a blast of minerality. Smooth and easy drinking throughout. After some time in the glass, it does begin to blossom It’s a very terroir driven Chablis.

Nice wine. Has a kind of soft roundness to it maybe from the Acacia barrels in which it was partially aged? Wouldn’t necessarily guess gruner. Kind of Chablisienne. Minerality and ripping acid on the back end. Enjoying it more two days after opening..  — 4 years ago

Yellow gold. Buttery. Shows its age with more tertiary aromas of mushrooms. Oily texture. Bitter citrus zest and long finish. No oak wine making preserves the purity of the wine with aging. It won't develop more and we are lucky to meet it at the stage before it starts declining.

Comes from the smallest Chablis Grand Cru. Domaine's plot is located at the top of the slope. Vines were planted in 1950-80. SW exposure, with plenty of sunshine and gentle breezes, tempered by the Serein river. Fairly gentle slope. Le Chablisienne cooperative owns over 75% of the climat.

Winemaking is with indigenous yeasts, in temperature-controlled vats. Wines never see oak, steel only. Maturation 18mo.

Color has slight greenish tones. Very nice nose, iodine, lemon zest, touch of almonds too and sea shells that are also on the palate. Very Chablis style with energy and an edgy acidity, mineral and saline with great length, delicious.

Couleur dorée avec de légers reflets verdâtres, très Droin comme couleur. Un beau nez typé avec des notes salines et iodées, coquillages, zeste de citron, et des amandes. Une bouche très Chablisienne, acidité vive, sans être tranchante, belle énergie, minéral et salin sur cette finale très longue. 92-93 — 5 years ago
