PNP > @Mike Smith , My last bottle & hogging it all to myself! Fabulous purity, concentration, gobs of glycerin, smooth integrated tannins, long finish. Kudos, you really killed this wine from Coliseum Block Vineyard in 2012! Has this Vineyard been replanted from the Napa fire that destroyed it? If yes, will you have access to the fruit in the future? Thanks for making such a great wine! Congratulations again on this wine! ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Cheers ππ· β 6 years ago

2012 Myriad Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard
Big wine. Lotβs of structure & built to last.
Really well made @Mike Smith
Kudos!
The words are βlook at the legs on thatβ!
Gobs of glycerin, teeth smacking dry tannins that are seamlessly integrated right now. Great expression of the Dr. Crane Vineyard.
If you have this wine in your cellar enjoy now & for at least another decade.

The 2015 Matthews βColumbia Valleyβ Sauvignon Blanc is a really good effort from this highly challenging vintage for white wine that saw both heat spikes and a record early August harvest. Gooseberry and shades of green bell pepper with Japanese pear aromatics take shape in the glass. Showing good verve and a soft texture, the wine unveils nice nutty and damp earth tones that combine with the Gravenstein apple, kumquat and nutmeg infused sourdough bread flavors. Now at the five year mark the 2015 βColumbia Valleyβ Sauvignon Blanc needs to be consumed over the next several years. Kudos to the talented Aryn Morell. Drink 2020-2023- 90 β 5 years ago

βThe 2014 Pinot Noir Hirsch Vineyard is a total knock-out. Dark, rich and explosive, the 2014 possesses magnificent depth and pedigree to burn. The flavors are dense, sweet and wonderfully nuanced throughout. A wine of extraordinary, almost Nebbiolo-like aromatic intensity and firm tannin, the Hirsch is going to need at least a few years to unwind, but it is very clearly a special wine. Hints of rose petal, mint and sweet red berry linger on the long, enticing finish. My tasting at Failla was one of the highlights of the two weeks I spent in Sonoma earlier this year. Ehren Jordan's 2014s are superb across the board. The wines are made in a mid-weight style that balances forward fruit with the aromatics and phenolics that these cooler sites tend to confer on their own... Simply put, 2014 is one of the most impressive vintages I have tasted at Failla.β (AG) (1/2016) β 6 years ago

Some oak and just a touch of an herbal aroma, still pretty solid structure, balanced, long finish, should be excellent with the prime rib. Kudos to Jim and Barbara for this lovely old Merlot. β 6 years ago
So beautiful and clear in its purpose, titillating on the nose and fulfilling its promises beyond. Balanced and velvety dark red fruit, hints of black tea and cassis but all in a more Old than New World Gestalt. Lots of secondary stuff emerging you just want to sip it slowly. If anybody wonders how well these age, track one down, itβs so worth it. Kudos @Cathy Corison for making this distinctive and enduring bottle! β 7 years ago
