Although this one did tend to have a citrus rich body, it is definitely a malo mouthfeel and more of a buttery chard. This wine was still quite delicious, and it's not really even my style. I was getting some lemongrass on the front, with a peach and mango note in the middle. The finish is more on the buttery side for my taste, but still went lovely with cheese and meat. Probably would have gone very well with Italian spiced nuts or with an herbal chicken dish. I believe this wine probably would have been more comprehensive if served with food. I think this one definitely has the longevity to age, but I'd put more stock in the Judge chard to do that most effectively. — 8 years ago
Same fruit profile as 08 but not as aromatic. Very good expression of Syrah #ShaneFinley — 9 years ago
There is almost no one that wouldn't judge this wine as a CA Cabernet in a blind tasting, even some Master Sommeliers. The 03 Le Petit Mouton is dark fruit (strong black plum), big caramel & vanilla, black tea, some star anise, super soft leather (near velvet), supple round elegant finish. 2003 is a ripe fruit driven vintage. — 10 years ago
I like it. Don't judge me. — 10 years ago
Amazing. Not showing it's age. Still beautiful fruit, acidity, and a wonderful vanilla finish. Made from what is now Konggsguard's The Judge vineyard. — 10 years ago
Drinking at home with dinner. Wine owner is a crazy judge from Australia. Love the story behind him. — 11 years ago
I judge Gavi by it's mineral content. This delivers with gratuitous marlstone, wild mushroom, washed Parmesan rind, and preserved lemon peel bouquet with background aromas of cantaloupe, lemons and peaches. Reminds me of a Chalonnaise White Burgundy--in the best possible way. — 7 years ago
Pale Ruby. The colour belies the rich nose and beautiful rich palate. My notes say “could not spit this out “ which you need to do for many of them because after 34 Grand Crus one will have drunk approx 1 1/2 litres of wine and not only be legless but not able to adequately judge the final bracket of 6 Vosne Romanee GCs which you definitely would not be spitting out! This Mazoyeres was my equally Top pointed Wine in the Gevrey bracket — 7 years ago
Killer Malbec!! @Mike Rowe @David L @Ron R @Carl Fischer. @Joe Lucca @Howard Greenfield — 8 years ago
Grapefruit and ginger. Fun and delicious. Don't judge this bottle by it's label. — 9 years ago
Beautiful colour. Very smooth. Carries itself very well. — 9 years ago
Sadly, I have a cold so im not one to judge tonight but my fiancé says its excellent ;) — 10 years ago
Doesn't get better than this. Not like any Chardonnay you've ever had. — 10 years ago
This is next level Chardonnay. Don't judge a bottle by its varietal. Orange blossom, white pear and well integrated minerality. Outstanding! — 10 years ago
Integrating with a bit of age. Spice, pepper and floral. — 11 years ago
Don't judge. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. — 11 years ago
Yum! Sweet plums and dried fig juice. So ya, sweet, but not overly. Would be amazing with spicy BBQ — 7 years ago
Don't judge a wine by its vintage. This is the second or third time I've had this wine. I haven't touched it in a few years. I opened it because I didn't think we would drink the whole thing and I didn't mind if I threw it away. All of us loved this wine. It's a classic Bordeaux style in its mid life. Would never even think its from an off vintage. If you love Bordeaux you will love this for the price. — 9 years ago
She's temperamental. And expressive. It ain't no a Billy Joel Song; it's a Soings en Sologne, sung by the son of a son of a viticulture (well maybe only the cousin). Very fucking cool wine. Unique for this region. Kind of Sebastian Riffault-like in his rule breaking to Sancerre, but perhaps more... tame. Oxidative for this vintage, maybe that's consistent? Tastes like there's some skin contact on the romorantin, a roller coaster of acidity and sapidity across the tongue, and Menu Pineau, I can find it if I look. If you don't like oxidative wine, you probably won't appreciate this. But I judge a wine whether it's empty or not, and this one didn't stand a chance. Tastes better when it's warmed up and breathed for an hour. vintage is technically 2012 -not on label. Wife (New Zealander) Heidi Kuka makes the eye-catchingly, ornate almost Maori-like tribal tattoos for the labels. Julien Courtois is able to knock it out of the park on occasion, but mostly, he makes very good, expressive and interesting, but most importantly drinkable wine from the western Loire. — 9 years ago
New wine on our list!!! — 10 years ago
Surprisingly delicious! Hit the spot... Don't judge me... So uncool it's cool again — 10 years ago
thinking this was the 2014 reserve release.... it's unico and me likey unico. jury still out for me on whether or not the blending to achieve the house style is the way to go. had some lesser vintages that reservations beat but also some killer single vintages that smoke the reserva. all about the dirt and those great vintages are the ones that have it. — 10 years ago
Cali Zin with refinement. Very nice. Need to get more of this. — 11 years ago

This was tasted alongside a 2010 Kongsgaard Judge Chard, and it just had a lot more going on. While, to me, the Judge had a lot of very nice acidity and perhaps it was just a little bit 'younger' than the Lauren, it's not everyday that someone decides to open up a 2010 Lauren Aubert Chard and someone ELSE decides to open up a 2010 Kongsgaard Judge Chard! This to me was the WOTN for white wines. Easily beat out a 2011 Peter Michael Chard. This one has so many things going on. Nose of peach, asian pear, baking spices. The entry has a nutty and a mineral-rich character yet also has a lot of verbose fruit that just keeps going and going. At 8 years of age, this 2010 Aubert is SINGING, and I don't expect that to change. Finished with some limestone grit, then some obtuse fruit. Damn, what a chard! — 7 years ago
