Nice effervescence if a Portuguese rose - nice flavor - not dry — a year ago
I've only had a couple touriga nacional non-fortified wines in my life, and they can vary widely in quality, structure, and tannin. This is on the softer side, no doubt partly because of its age, so it drinks easily.
Aromas are very reserved, a far cry from the aromatic wines I usually prefer. Lovely cocoa, clay, and homemade berry jam flavors. Reminds me of a Priorat but without the characteristic minerality. All in all solid. — 2 years ago
Portugal purchase. Not as tannic as last time. Good and enjoyed more than the first one. — 3 months ago
Full bodies, sweet, with a long finish. Pairs well with seafood. — 2 years ago
Black olives, balsamic, wet leaves, mushroom, moss, soil — 4 years ago
WTSO. Blueberry, blackberry, currant on nose and palate with smooth tannins. Hint of chocolate. Nice acidity. Delicious. Good mouthful and length. 91 but for price point much higher. — 4 years ago
Incredible! Lush blackberry fruit flavors. Big in the mouth and the finish goes on for minutes. — 5 months ago
Delivers just as when we were there! — 7 months ago
Had this at chef Avillez’s Bairro in Lisbon’s Chiado neighborhood. First time trying a Dao DOC wine, and it was splendid. Medium bodied, dark fruit and peppery. A nice contrast to the lighter vino verde’s I’ve had a lot of in Portugal. A bottle of this in front of me would be dangerous. — 2 years ago
