A fantastic wine. A nice red berry aroma and a beautiful ruby red color. I recommend with pasta. — 10 years ago
An old half bottle- among the first with a government warning and before even the days of Remy importing the Champagne. @Garth Hodgdon and I are both guessing released around 1989 and perhaps based on a late 70's harvest. This still had a touch of pressure and almond like complexity to spare. Big acid on the back end will keep it going for a long time! — 10 years ago
2009. I can keep smelling this wine all night if I had to - great nose. Typical red fruit, roses, and a hint of licorice and mint. And the high tannin and acid typical in Barolo are so balanced. Very approachable and enjoyable despite its youth. — 12 years ago

Embodies everything I love in S. Rhône wines. Deep, velvety, joyful, complex, immediate and captivating. Lovely in so many ways but the balance grabs my attention the most. Everything in its place. — 9 years ago
so, this was rated on a curve. stored in a fridge in another city. fridge died in summer and it was weeks before i found it. it was baked. and then it was weirdly ok. just used it to explain to @captain henrik how get wine out of a bottle with a coravin (merry xmas, cap'n!) expecting it to be destroyed. lo and behold. second wine from that lot which wasn't ruined. the OTHER, miraculously, was the bernaudeau "sans souffre" which I'll never understand why it was ok. maybe there are wine elves sticking ice in the dead fridge until I found it.... god jul!! — 9 years ago
Initial nose after 10 minutes open is very hot, with hints of currants & dried fruit. After 40 minutes the alcohol fades revealing a nose of dark, ripe cherry with prune/light raisin. This is not an Amarone or ripasso but has some of the characteristics. On the palate there is a blast of beautiful dried fruit, rich and full. After an hour open the soft prune, currant fruit is evident and delicious.
This wine is peaking. Drink now or in next five years. Elizabetta Fanetti's traditional style is one I admire. Loved it! — 10 years ago
I was surprised that despite a big fan of amarone, I knew little about this little gem. Tried it for the first time at a tasting of valpolicella, and I was very impressed. Drinks great. Has plenty of the fruit and tannic backbone that I like in an Italian wine along with some mineral tones, and the price is excellent.
The range of this grape in the hands of these guy is amazing. Great value wine — 11 years ago

As a long-time Mailing List member I faithfully add these Pinots to my cellar but have to say that their Chardonnay(s) is what really rocks my boat.
This 2011 is fresh off the delivery truck and does show potential but I'll wait for a while before popping the next one. — 10 years ago

I under estimated this wine last weekend as I didn't decant it. Some concern over a 20 year old CA Cabernet. However, this wine is still all there. There's something special when the right wine hits 20 years of age and there is simply no shortcut or substitute. The evolution in this wine is spectacular. Ripe plum, blackberries, dark raspberries, cooked strawberries, amazing baking spices, sweet dark earth and minerals, swede and soft leather, tobacco leaf, great balance, an amazing elegant finish and perfect acidity. I would have not expected this much from a Tapestry but there you go!!! Holding my 07's for much longer than I expected based on this 96. — 10 years ago
I drank this at their open house, and at the time I thought it was one of the best 2011's we tasted. This is another example of a wine that will have the "experts" pondering the 2011 vintage. This may be similar to a 2003 for selected wineries. I'll go on the record that I like it - a lot. — 11 years ago
Best I have ever had!! — 13 years ago

A ridiculous amount of fruit remains intact here. A ton of secondary truffle & savory character shows. The vibrant nature is shocking in every good way. I modestly would say that I've been lucky enough to taste quite a few 82's and this is among the best ones. — 9 years ago
