Retasting eight months later, my last bottle. Ruby red, very good clarity. Black currant and red berry fruit leather notes in nose. Blackberry and cherry flavors initially. Mild skin astringency in finish, with white pepper emerging after 15 minutes. Black currant, plum, mint and a touch of cola and earthiness emerge an hour after opening. Complex flavor profile. Chewy tannins too emerge, so best decant a couple of hours. A little more acidic brightness wouldn’t hurt though. Maybe Tempranillo can be a Pacific Northwest thing... — 5 years ago
Smoky aroma, strong tobacco taste on its own, balances out when paired with lamb or a fatty / oily meal. — 2 years ago
This Pinot noir changed my mind about both Pinot noirs and Oregon wines. My first impression was that it was bolder than most Pinot noirs, but it has a nice medium finish. — 4 years ago

Delicious! I absolutely love this wine and the people at Holloran! Visit this tasting room if you’re in the area! This Riesling is refreshing and dry, with tropical fruit notes, and a bit of delicious minerality to it. — 4 years ago

Holloran 2021 Tempranillo, Eola-Amity Hills, Dundee Oregon. This wine is amazingly easy to drink right out of the bottle. Excellent for a lunch time vino. Bouquet is simple dark cherry juice. The palate is very subtle with dark berries and cherries. Very light on the palate. The finish is not dry nor sweet. Just leaves you wanting another sip!!!! Great job Holloran Vineyards!!! — 6 months ago
