Perfect match with Bree and cranberry. Rich color and nice on the palate needs one more year to blossom — 9 years ago
One of my favorite scotches — 10 years ago
Wow - one of the most expensive bottles of wine I've ever tried. — 10 years ago
Joe Davis makes one of the finest Cali pilots. — 10 years ago
Good the first day. Better the next. Decanting will smooth this one out into the SLH you know and love. Luscious Pino. — 11 years ago
Excellent trying to get balance between $ and Tate and this one hits the spot — 11 years ago
One of the best chardonnay's I've ever had. Not too buttery, not dry, very good crisp white to drink on a warm evening. — 12 years ago
Not bad at all for a Pinot Noir. Not a type of wine I'd pick off a shelf anywhere, but if you have to drink Pinot, this probably is a good one. — 13 years ago
One of the best bottles of domestic Syrah I’ve had in some time. Beautiful savory peppery quality. Bright and everything I love about Syrah. Would love to compare this next to Alain Graillot and may do so next round. — 8 years ago
One of our favorite Testatossa wines. This one is from the Gary Pisoni vineyard in Santa Lucia. Consistently good year after year. — 9 years ago
If you like an oaky Chardonnay, this Morgan SLH fits the bill. Straw colored with oak and a little charcoal in the nose. More oak, minerals and spice on the palate, but well balanced and smooth, not like it's trying to hide anything. Moderate acid finish with some citrus. SLH does two wines exceptionally well, and this is a great example of the white one. — 9 years ago
Its the right amount of earthiness , rich bouquet, wonderful finish. Some wines finish with that sweet alcohol taste, not this one, earthy all the way through. 2012 vintage. — 10 years ago
From Pisoni's (excellent) second label Lucia, this was part of a three bottle horizontal consisting of the 2011 Santa Lucia Highlands, Garys' Vineyard, and Soberanes Vineyard offerings. The Garys' was definitely drinking the best, but I suspect this one will ultimately surpass it. Right now it's a bit too closed and probably should have been decanted. All three wines were terrific, though (not at the level of the Pisoni Estate, but still excellent wines). — 10 years ago

Day 1: Very pure bright strawberry and cherry. Super fresh and weightless.
Day 2: Damp earth, smoke, and spice....same weightlessness.
Two wines for the price of one. — 11 years ago
This might make you say "America!" in an exclamatory way, like we won wine making. You should get involved with this one. — 11 years ago
Delicious Pinot. One of our favorite go-to reds. — 11 years ago
A fantasy Pinot that lingers in your mouth far after it is gone. I really enjoyed this one! — 13 years ago
TJs strikes again. Rich and velvety, full of bing cherry and spice, with hints of dark chocolate. Massive QPR. Just picked up, on the recommendation of one Steve Haro. There were boxes of it but this won’t last long, especially with Turkey Day upon us so stock up pronto. No doubt this would finish high in the pack in a Pinot blind. — 8 years ago
Nice one - velvety. — 9 years ago
Soft on the palate. One of the best!! BUY ASAP. Hints of cherry. Drink this wine with a gorgeous girl and your night is set — 9 years ago
Hands down one of my favorite wines. We had it before dinner with cheese and fruit. I didn't want the bottle to empty. — 9 years ago
Just a fantastic Pinot that drinks way above its price point and I enjoyed it more than many other Pinots that cost more. Good time to be drinking this one. — 10 years ago
We are trying to figure this one out. Very subtle nose with an appealing bouquet. Silky cherries and red fruit on the pallet. Nice finish but very different (in a good way) than most pinots we drink. — 10 years ago
One of the nicest Pinots I've had recently. Berries at the front with a touch of spice at the finish. Very smooth and very easy to drink. Will definitely buy again. — 10 years ago
The force is strong with this one — 11 years ago
Jeff liked this one, better than cake reads — 11 years ago
Hands down, one of my favorite "accessible" Pinots. — 12 years ago

It is funny how things work. Some people have comfort foods, I have comfort wines. This Lucia Syrah just makes me happy. I love the spice, leather and dark berries in this wine. It is one of things in life you need to get you through some times. — 8 years ago
