I’m getting a real taste for these delicious aged rieslings. This is the second bottle of this vintage I’ve had, and man - it was rocking. It’s in such a perfect place right now. Ripe acidity balanced with the sweetness of honey, caramel apple, brûlée’d peach, kerosene and lilac flower. I’m making a mental note to buy more for the cellar. Got to taste an 07 and 09, the latter seems to have a bit more sweetness. Golden, ripe fruit, citrus and stone fruit aromas. The palate shows ripe apricots and sweet orange flavors, savory and balanced. Intense lingering finish, nice. Sip to make it last. — 9 years ago

The Basic QbA Riesling from a good grower should always be a very good wine that also ages well. Case in point here. This 13-year old has another decade of aging potential. I believe the vineyard village here is Wehlen. The fruit is fresh and would be convincing as a feinherb, and the balanced structure is appropriately firm. — 5 years ago
