Great wine! I love this and will be sad when it’s all gone. — 6 years ago
Medium golden yellow. Lovely oak influence on the nose with some baked apples, minerality, brioche and some citrus. Tangy with medium plus acidity (7/10) and medium minus body. Dry palate with lots of wet rocks, green apples and some lemon rind. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2024. — 7 years ago
Rombauer Vineyards was founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley. The winery features caves that extend for over a mile into the hillside. Golden straw with aromas of stone and tropical fruit with sweet oak spice scents. On the palate peach, melon and apple, with soft vanilla spice, rich & creamy. Lingering smooth finish, well balanced ending with mineral notes. — 8 years ago
Slate and chalk driven minerality are backed by golden apple and subtle tropical fruit on the nose. Palate has excellent balance with fresh squeezed lemon and lemon grass notes bouncing around on vibrant acidity. Finishes with sense of creaminess and persistence. Drink or hold. — 8 years ago
Green gold in glass; the warmer it gets, the more the toffee, butterscotch and fresh pineapple pours from the glass. But it's the mid-palate and finish that raises this wine to amazing levels. Surprisingly rich and weighty, but smooth silken pure grace that lingers with hints of mango, ripe cantaloupe and wave after wave of Dole golden pineapple. I adore this wine! — 9 years ago

Showing some age. Golden. — 10 years ago
Golden color; creamed lemon on the nose. Very elegant aromatics. In the mouth huge creamy lemon curd with awesome flavors and finish. Acid balance is perfect as well giving it a French signature. Best California Chardonnay since the Aubert Hyde and son. Even more elegant! Great wine and should drink well for 5-7 years. — 6 years ago
Tropical fruit, green apple and golden raisin. — 7 years ago
Inspired by the golden hills that frame the landscape of San Bernabe Vineyard at the southern edge of the Santa Lucia Mountain range. Deep color with berry fruit aromas and notes of toasty honey scents. On the palate blueberry and cherry flavors with vanilla, cacao and toasty notes. Smooth tannins balanced well with acidity, lingering ending with espresso and spice character. Nice value. — 7 years ago
II’ve loved all the Sandhi 2012 range of whites & this £65 S&B is superb 👍 Paired with enough curry to get a small village going regular for a week 🤣 💨 sorry I didn’t take pics of that feast 😁

Medium to deep golden yellow with a greenish hue. A touch of oak on the nose with toasty notes, lemon curd, and banana. Medium to high acidity (6.5/10), full bodied and round. Rich on the palate with citrus, lemon and intense tropical notes. Long and lingering finish. Better when slightly chilled. Drink till 2020. — 9 years ago
CA Montrachet. Mellow peach, golden apple fruit, ambitiously balanced. Not as zippy as CIX — 10 years ago
medium golden yellow, prominent tearing; quince, white peach, pear, white flowers, buttered brioche; stone fruits, mineral notes, waxy mouthfeel; full bodied, good acidity, 14.8% ABV; made from predominantly Roussanne with a touch of Viognier and small amounts of Chardonnay, Clairette Blanche, Genache Blanc, and Marsanne fermented and aged in a combination of concrete tank and new and used French oak barrels, the only white Booker makes, winemakers Eric and Lisa Jensen worked with Justin Smith at Saxum and Stephan Asseo of L’Aventure before starting their own label in 2005; $50 — 6 years ago
Trying this next to the ‘11 Marcassin was quite interesting. This was borderline reductive in profile. More Chablis like than typical Cali chard. At 9yrs though, the bright fruit has darkened a bit...golden pear, kumquat, sea spray aromatics. Tart on the palate with oyster shell and bruised Granny Smith apple. — 7 years ago
Light golden hue. Ripe aromas of red berry and apricot. Forward and creamy. A bit of air helped it find balance. Incredibly fine mousse. Dis 11/2017 — 8 years ago
Wow, what a Chardonnay! The gorgeous golden color in the glass led to wonderful, lush aromas of mangoes, peaches, citrus and wet stone with wonderful underlying notes of creamy, buttery oak. The palate is full-bodied and as lush as the nose along with bright, balancing acidity. Flavors of white peach and citrus and balanced out but crushed, wet stone. The finish lingers with the crisp acidity and citrus. Awesome! — 9 years ago

One of the best Chardonnay I’ve had, equal to some Grand Cru. The nose is bold, with scents of the beach, fresh hot straw, cumquat and star fruit acidity. The flavor is medium bodied, long and lingering, with the perfect balance of minerality and golden ripe fruits. Had with thanksgiving, and it was amazing. — 6 years ago
