Quite light ruby , wide light ruby rim . Rose and strawberry, raspberry, red cherry scented, slight hint of anis and fresh herbs. In the mouth nice sweet red fruits , cherry and strawberry , that touch of anis again . Pretty refreshing acidity , quite fine but noticeable tannins . Reasonable length and overall nicely balanced . This benefitted from a bit of air , and though young was a good match with a rather simple pasta with Bolognese sauce. This is good from now (with food and time in the decanter ) though will offer good drinking over the next 3-5 years . A nice and well made Langhe Nebbiolo.

Deep garnet color. Aromas of bright/ripe/sweet red fruit, rose petals, charcoal and light oak. Ripe red cherry and plum fruit on the palate with hints of sweet spices. Medium Ruby with complex aromas of ripe berry fruits and fresh floral, mint and herb citrus scents, aged for 36 months in oak. On the palate the palate flavors of raspberry, cherry, tobacco and fresh herbs give this medium+ body wine some power, yet it’s graceful and elegant. Soft fine tannins on a well balanced frame makes this wine enjoyable today but it will be better in about 5 years and over the next decade. — 4 years ago
