I love 21 N Rhone. 12% alcohol here. Olives, game, smoke and flowers on the nose. Juicy, elegant palate with terrific length, purity and all red fruited and mixed with minerals and herbs. So fresh and energetic. Awesome. After around 20 hours this is crazy good. More depth and concentration. Awesome fruit. 9.3 to 9.4. — 2 months ago
From the newly found leftover stash, still very nice, yeasty and balanced but showing hints of decline and lots of bubbly vitality. Will drink up. — 6 months ago
Muscadet of the Alps! Nose is wet hay, wild flowers, minerals, some underarm and more. So complex and expressive. Palate is super juicy and has huge acid and energy but also a pillowy texture and terrific fruit intensity. Long and so pretty. Let’s see what air does. This has gained lovely richness with air. Still a 9.3 but love that contrast with the acids. Also killer finesse. Close to a 9.4. — a month ago
We drank the 1993 (the year we were married) for Valentine’s Day. it was amazing. The fruit and acidity were still there but surrounded by the earthiness you only get with a burgundy. This was my last and I am sad because it still has years to go — 3 months ago
Bright, acidic, fresh. Red fruits, spices, beginnings of an earthy forest floor. Really love everything Lafouge is producing. — 6 months ago
