Holding up remarkably well from the hot 2003 vintage, the Jeunes-Rois from Frederic Magnien is quite good. Still retaining a lot of fruit given its age, the wine had some great secondary aromas, was balanced, and had a nice, lingering finish. Evolved nicely in the glass over the course of an hour or so, too. Wish I had a few more of these in the cellar! — 3 years ago

Vintage 2015 / Imagine you find a vineyard with almost 50 years old Chenin Blanc and you are able to make wine from it. Frederic Mabileau must have been thrilled. This vineyard in Saumur is 1 hectare. Minerals in smell, a lot of minerals. Also vanilla (16 months en foudre). Hints of tropical fruit, hay, enormous powerful in taste with good acidity.
