2018 vintage. White Alentejo blend (Roupeiro, Rabo de Ovelha, Antao Vaz, Tamarez, Alicante Branco and Arinto) by winemakers António Maçanita and Sandra Sarria. Reserva Palpite Alentejano Red Blend

2020 vintage. Another successful Maçanita wine. A blend of 27% Alicante Bouschet, 25% Aragonez, 14% Castelão, 14% Trincadeira 12% Alfrocheiro and 8% others ( Baga, Tinta Carvalha , Touriga Nacional). Soils are yellow schist and granite. Vineyard altitude 280-380 m. Attractive nose with amarena cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate and Provencal herbs. Concentrated jammy black fruit balanced by tight acidity and a powerful tannic structure. Very good length with retronasal fruit and spices. Abv. 14,5% . Should age well. — a year ago

'Baga ao Sol' Unoaked Vinho Regional Alentejano 2018

Interesting wine from the late-ripening Baga grape. Not as tannic and austere as I thought but quite elegant, with high acids, small red berries, and some saltiness. Excellent. — 4 years ago
