At nine years old, this may have been a touch past its prime, but it still drank pretty well. Dark fruit and tobacco were dominant on the nose and palate, with hints of earth, cinnamon, and pepper coming through as well. ハーブやいかにも火山性な火薬、火打ち石感。
透明感に溢れながらもダークチェリーやドライフルーツ、醤油っぽい香り。
アーシーな雰囲気もあって、どこかりんごみたいな香りも。
言葉に置き換えるのが難しいほどの複雑味と多面性。
クリスマスだったので、チキンと食べたが、やっぱりあんまり合わなかったなぁ。

This wine has a medium ruby color to it. The nose is full of black fruit and savory aromas. Plum, blackberry, and currant bring sweetness, which is balanced by notes of earth, tar, and pepper. The palate shows clean, fresh fruit and a brisk acidity with firm tannins. It's a great chance to add the Gaglioppo grape to your century club list. — 7 months ago
