Cavaliere d'Oro Chianti Classico Sangiovese

Blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Colorino, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits and spicy floral notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry fruit with pepper and cinnamon, lively acidity with firm tannins. Medium finish ending with fruit and slight oaky character.

Easy. . . This bottle was easy to taste, easy to enjoy and easy to finish. It very complex, some hints of licorice, cherry, dark berry, leather, but overall simple. Normally that is not what I’m looking for but this “simple” and “easy” were just right.

Nice wine, dry with a bit of spice

My rating here is random. As the wine got more breath it got nicer. Cherry to a darker fruit taste. Don’t drink many Chiantias but really liked this one.

Dark cherry, leather, tobacco, cooked strawberry, rhubarb, and raspberry. Moderate plus tannins, medium alcohol, and high acid.

Bad, even considering its low price. $10 at H-E-B.

Light and on the sweeter side; really enjoyed this one and I’ve had many Chianti’s; worth a try!
