Can’t imagine paying $100+ for this, but it is a viscous, layered, tropical stunner. Pineapple and apricot spread to every corner of the palate with a long, luxurious finish. Teriyaki glazed pork? Gruner is a crazy ass grape, and I drink the low cost liters like they’re water.

But when it’s done on a world class level it’s such an understatedly intense wine - WIDTH in your mouth, like taste it from every corner. A very different finish than you’d find in a French Chardonnay.

Cool to try. Appreciate the experience, and for $50 it’s rare to be able to taste one of the best around. — 5 years ago
