W64 200, Xmas day family wine 3L perfect in every way, what a cracker, silky berries, in the same level as say Gevrey Chambertan, without the expense. Just had a rethink, this now goes to my top rated wine. — 4 months ago
Excellent ...... Definitely buy more at TJs — 7 months ago
Damn. Liaison....every year. 2019 is all about elegance and femininity. Grand Cru stuff. Burgundian by weight, Germanic in tone. Impossible expression crammed in the most dainty little box. Looks like it could be thin, but it's not. Murky, unfiltered, straddles the tradition and the wild. Bright red cherries and mossy forresty, earth...strawberries and rosemary on the periphery. What a bargain. — 3 years ago
You're not 40 every day and I wanted a special wine to celebrate that special day. Fortunately the wine bar / open kitchen restaurant we went to had that special wine, amongst 400 references, that I had been desperate to taste for a long while. I didn't take notes so it's all from memory, but the nose is what I liked the most. Coconut notes, leather, cherries, coffee... I spent probably 15 minutes in total smelling that wine. The palate was great with some acid drive, some matter but not in an overwhelming way, some gentle, well integrated tannins in the rear, before a long finish with savoury notes, red fruits, coconut and that gentle grainy tannic layer. A great experience to top up a day to remember.
Oh and if you happen to be in Warsaw, Poland and be looking for a great wine place, make sure to check out Kontakt - wino & bistro. — 5 months ago
This 1994 Bordeaux is a pleasant treat and perfect compliment to our assortment of charcuterie and Italian antipasto. Decanted for one hour but could have been longer as the wine continues to open up by every sip. This wine has a beautiful bouquet with earthy flavors including tobacco, leather, and hints of fig. Buon Natale! — a year ago
Just wow, deep rich, and also clean and worth every penny and every drop — 2 months ago
2024. This year’s nouveau wine from D&G is very similar to the last two vintages that we’ve enjoyed. Slightly tart cranberry and red berry flavors. Served chilled with chicken and sausage gumbo. — 4 months ago
Deep Ruby color. Dark fruit, tart with smooth, rich tannins. Bright fruit flavors, without a sugary taste. — 5 months ago
