Birthday wine tasting. Really nice and balanced prosecco, easy to drink on it's own. Would have again — 2 years ago
Upfront confession. This is my absolute most favorite winery in Napa. The Clarke family are super people (not to mention Spencer and Amizetta are from Texas). This wine is a beautiful deep ruby leaning almost to purple in color. Great hints of dark fruit, baking spices, cedar and leather on the nose. On the palate there are fantastic flavors of blueberries, black plums, dark cherries, cocoa and dark chocolate. The tannins are fully ripe and sweet. A very balanced wine with a long fruity finish. On top of making great wines they have an unparalleled view of Lake Hennessey from their outdoors tasting area. The only thing that would make this wine better is if I was sitting there enjoying it with the Clarke’s. — 3 years ago
I love this wine, black fruit, full bodied delicious — 8 months ago
Pale lemon in color.
Fruity nose of lemons, green apples, grapefruits, spices and minerals.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, green apples and grapefruits.
This is a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Not very complex, but easy drinking even by itself.
Doesn't show like a typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but very tasty.
A great wine to drink by the pool. Crisp, refreshing and tangy. Fruit forward and rich.
I had it all by itself. Kosher and vegan.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

Aromas of dark black fruits - blackberry, plum, blueberry. Bold and big, with soft integrated tannins that draw you into the inner sanctum of the grape varietal. A tinge of age at the ends, but not in the fore front. Nice lovely finish lasting over 30 seconds before it breaks down. Definitely at its peak of performance. Paired well with the bolognese. Even better with the veal chop with figs, pluots, and watermelon radish. As Elizabeth says, this is a gorgeous wine. “It’s a grown up, but not old”. Or as I like to say, like a 40 year old classy lady wearing an evening gown and pearls - just stunning! — 2 years ago
Once in a while you just have to go for it. While touring the wine cellar at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise AB we noticed this bottle of Champagne. Pol Roger Brut according to legend was the preferred Champagne of Winston Churchill and is still enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth to this day. This vintage Champagne with its unique smooth effervescent mouth feel, hints of fruit and long lasting legs would still make the Prime Mister himself smile. Cheers 🥂 — 3 years ago
